Assured was born from the challenges we encountered while building and scaling Dawn Health, a virtual sleep clinic. As founders, Rahul Shivkumar and Varun Krishnamurthy, we experienced firsthand the inefficiencies of provider network management. Instead of accepting the status quo, we seized the opportunity to create something better.
Our engineering backgrounds, combined with our healthcare entrepreneurship experience, gave us a unique perspective. We realized that by leveraging advanced technologies like AI for primary source verification and automated form processing, we could dramatically enhance the experience for healthcare practices of all sizes.
A former co-founder of Dawn Health (acquired in 2023), Varun combines his engineering background from Washington University in St. Louis with hands-on healthcare entrepreneurship experience. His work at Yahoo and success in building and scaling Dawn Health shaped his vision for transforming healthcare administrative processes.
Also a former co-founder of Dawn Health, Rahul brings valuable experience from his time at Intercom where he worked on the growth team as they tripled ARR. At Dawn, Rahul predominantly worked on scaling the provider network from 0 to 150+ providers across 15 states with all the major commercial payor panels.
